Dear John Carroll Family and Friends,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to John Carroll Catholic High School! I am proud of the many accomplishments and achievements of our student body, faculty and staff. As we look forward to the future, we also celebrate our 75+ year history and thank God for blessing our school in so many ways over the years.

At JCHS we strive for excellence in education, from academics, to sports, to an appreciation of our cultural diversity and community-minded spirit, and spiritual formation. Our goal is to facilitate the formation of the whole person, including mind, body, and spirit. This is truly evident both on-campus and in the community at large!

Please feel free to visit our campus and to seek information about the exciting events we have planned this year. May God bless you and I hope to see you soon!

Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Rev. Thomas E. Barrett

Our mission statement reads, "Guided by our Catholic faith and tradition, we recognize Jesus Christ as the model for the whole person we seek to develop. Our mission is to inspire the pursuit of educational excellence, foster character formation, develop a commitment to service, and affirm the dignity of each student entrusted to our care."

Please notice the action verbs inspire, foster, develop and affirm which will serve as our central vision throughout this year. It is our honor to serve students, alumni, and the community at large and to build upon the foundation of our school's original mission.

A total of 17 Advanced Placement classes are offered at JCHS, with numerous students earning AP Scholar Awards, in addition to excelling in Dual Enrollment and honors level classes. The JCHS SAT, PSAT, and ACT scores continue to be higher than the local, state, and national averages, with graduates earning Bright Futures and thousands of dollars being earned in college scholarships, as all students continue to obtain degrees. Smaller class sizes also allow numerous hands-on curriculum lessons including creating a hydroponic garden, dissecting numerous specimens, creating and launching rockets, and having live birds, fish, a tortoise, and a shark in class.
