Congratulations to current John Carroll High School seniors Joey Ryan, Duchney Derosier, and Ryan Morgan for earning the prestigious AP Scholar designation last year.

Students Recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation

Duchney Derosier
  • Meredith Peterson and Duchney Derosier earned prestigious designations based on their 2010 preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Tests as a Commended Student for placing among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students and for scoring in the top 3 percent of more than 160,000 black Americans respectively.


County and State-Runner-Up Envirothon Team Winners

John Carroll High School Envirothon Team of Victoria Delaporte, Taylor Tench, Brandon Paige, Mary Catherine Brown, John James, and Beau Roberts.

  • Past Envirothon successes since 2006 include 5-time County Champions, 5-time Regional Champions, 4-time State Champions, and the 2010, 4th Place winners in the National Competition

  • While in California for Nationals, the five members of the Envirothon team successfully tackled the problem: "Find ways to make the water supply to California's San Joaquin Valley a sustainable resource".
