Religion Update

John Carroll is a school that promotes Christian values and the teachings of the Catholic Church. We welcome students regardless of religious background or affiliation. It is our core belief that by educating the students in the spirit of Catholic Christianity and through the grace of Jesus Christ, we are able to provide a spiritual foundation that they will take with them for the rest of their lives. Students are required to complete a minimum of four years of religion classes. These classes not only educate students in Roman Catholic doctrine but also expose them to other religions as well. Students attend at least one spiritual retreat a year through which they become closer to God and to each other.

Our students also regularly participate in the liturgical aspects of the Catholic faith. There are regularly scheduled masses and prayer or penance services providing the opportunity to integrate faith into their scholastic education and daily life.

“I am truly blessed to have been a student at JCHS. I believe that the faculty and staff really care for the students and want nothing more than to see them succeed. I would encourage the community to donate to John Carroll High School because it is truly a fantastic institution and is dedicated to helping its students learn everything they need to be prepared for college.”
