Class Rules

Class Rules
WORLD HISTORY CLASSROOM POLICIES

The student is expected to have the following in class each day:
1. Assigned textbook with proper cover on the book
2. A three ring loose-leaf Hard Cover notebook with lined paper
3. Ball point pen (Blue or Black), a #2 lead pencil, and a set of colored pencils
4. Two consecutive days of not having any of the above will mean a detention
Other items needed:
1. Home computer with internet
2. Printer
3. USB flash drive
The student is expected to:
1. Enter the room quietly and be seated and ready to work when the bell rings
2. Follow common rules of courtesy
3. Be ready for class

Notebook Requirements
The notebook is to be set up according to directions and all materials are to be arranged according to Chapter order. All work is to be properly labeled with chapter number from your text .The notebook shall be kept with three ringed paper and notes taken preferably in ink.
All tests, quizzes, maps, and other printed materials given to the student shall be placed in the appropriate place by chapter.

Grading

Grading Policy
Tests - Each student is responsible for taking all tests. You will be notified of upcoming tests at least two day in advance. Excused or unexcused tardies and absences will follow the procedure in the student handbook. Tests will count 65% of your grade.
Projects - Projects will be assigned throughout the nine week period. They will be worth either a test grade or quiz grade depending upon their complexity.
Quizzes - Quizzes may be announced or unannounced. Quizzes will include materials previously covered in class, homework or materials covered that day. They will be 25% of your grade.
Homework - Homework will be given daily except possibly for the weekend.
Homework will be spot checked daily. Two consecutive days of missed homework will mean a detention. Homework will count for 10 percent of your grade.
Notebooks - The notebook is worth one test grade/semester.

If I cannot read your writing it is wrong.

It will be each student’s responsibility to make up any missed work within one
week or receive a ZERO for that assignment.

All published rules found in the student handbook will be observed.
