Biography

Mrs. Cross is the Visual Arts Instructor. She has a BA from the Unviersity of South Florida in Visual Arts. She is the Director of Worship Arts at First United Methodist Church in Fort Pierce and the Atlantic Central District Representative for Fellopship of Music and Worship Arts Florida.

Mrs. Cross is the sponsor for the JCHS Art Club and was the 2007-2008 JCHS Teacher of The Year.

Mrs. Cross has a daughter Jean Richardson, son-in-law Lee of Little Rock, daughter Kate Rotindo (1997), son-in-law, Nick (1997) of Fort Pierce, and son Everett (2007) who attends Santa Fe College.

Class Rules

Be on time. Be respectful. Be a follower of school rules.


All students will pay a $20 fee which will help to cover the expense of materials required for studio work in the fall semester. It is important that students have the supplies needed to do the work. Please advise me of any difficulty with this requirement.


Follow School Rules – dress code will remain in effect in the art room.

Show Consideration and Respect- gossip and slanderous conversations are not allowed

Be Punctual – no additional time given to travel to and from art building

Share in Opening Prayer with Quiet Demeanor

Stay Inside the Art Room

Remain Quiet During Instruction or Lose Points for that Day

Use Appropriate Language, and Discuss only Appropriate Subject Matter

Use Care When Handling Art Material, Equipment, and Furnishings

Follow Instructions and Work Quietly

Work Everyday or Lose Points for Daily Work

Label All Work or Risk Loss of Credit for Work Done

Clean up as Directed and Assist when Asked

At end of class, wait at your work area to be dismissed by teacher at the bell.

Grading

Grading-Classwork-50%, Selected Assignments25%, Art History Project 25%

Required participation in the DAR art competition, and other selected contests.

Students must follow instructions of the teacher, and follow all school
policies and rules.



Students must participate in each day's class activity.



Students will be respectful of others, and work cooperatively.









Procedures


Arrive on time. Come inside the art room and be seated by the tardy bell.



Listen attentively to devotions and participate in prayer.



Give attention to daily assignment and instruction.



Work diligently on art assignments only.



Clean up as instructed by teacher.



Be seated after clean up, and wait for the bell. Please push your chair
under the table as you leave. Leave quietly.
