JOHN CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL AP RESEARCH AND AP SEMINAR COURSES 100% PASS RATE
FORT PIERCE – John Carroll High School is proud to announce that its students excelled in their Advanced Placement (AP) course testing this year.
John Carroll is an AP Capstone school. AP courses provide college-level work to high school students who may receive college credit for these courses. AP courses are known for their challenging curricula and rigorous expectations. Two classes compose the AP Capstone program – AP Seminar and AP Research. Of John Carroll’s students enrolled in the arduous AP Seminar and AP Research classes, 100% passed their respective AP exams, far exceeding the global pass rates of 81.5% and 85.8% respectively.
Eleven of John Carroll’s AP courses exceeded both the state and global pass rates, including AP Biology, AP English Language and Composition, AP Calc BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP US Government and Politics, AP US History, AP Research and AP Capstone.
“We are unbelievably proud of all our students who challenged themselves to take these rigorous college-level courses and their teachers who worked so hard to ensure they were prepared to do their best,” said Corey Heroux, John Carroll High School principal. “Our AP Capstone program is connected to one of our five root beliefs – we are always learning – and the students in this program truly embody this belief each day.”
