The National Day of Prayer is an annual day of observance held on the first Thursday of May, designated by the United States Congress, when people are asked "to turn to God in prayer and meditation".
In honor of National Prayer Day, we would like to share this meditation.
Creator and Redeemer God, I?ve always known that there is more going on than I?m aware of when your people pray to you. Whenever I come before you, may I pray expectantly, looking forward to hearing your voice, knowing your presence, seeing you answer prayers in your good and perfect way, and transforming me! Thank you for caring enough about me to want to grow me and make me more like Jesus?and thank you that prayer is a tool you use.
?We, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord?s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.?
?2 Corinthians 3:18
?May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.?
-Psalms 33:22
