Volunteer Opportunity

2013-09-26

The Atlantic Classical Orchestra (ACO), a 501(c)3 founded in 1991, encourages and cultivates appreciation and understanding of classical music. The only resident performing arts organization of Florida’s Treasure Coast, the ACO presents performances at the highest artistic level; its educational and outreach efforts include the popular Behind the Baton Lecture Series and an ongoing relationship with the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony.

In preparation for our 24th Concert Season (Jan. – April 2014), we anticipate numerous mailings (brochures, invitations, postcards) that require labeling, folding, stuffing, etc. We are looking for volunteers to help us with this light office work and thought it would be perfect for John Carroll students since our office is located in Ft. Pierce at 141 North US One; adjacent to the Arcade Building. Students could volunteer after school for one or two hours (or more) depending upon their availability and the scope of the project.

This week, we have a mailing and could use volunteers Thursday afternoon, Sept. 26, or Friday, Sept. 27. Since students don’t have class Friday, those who are interested in volunteering could visit us anytime during regular business hours (9 am to 5 pm) and earn multiple service hours for the day.

For more information or to let us know that you would like to volunteer, please contact Maryellen or Renae at 772.460.0850.
