RAMS Ranked!


John Carroll Catholic’s boys cross country team is ranked No. 18 in Class 1A in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association poll after a seventh place finish in the small school race at the Invitational in Titusville. It’s the first time this season the Golden Rams have cracked the top 20.
John Carroll also is ranked No. 1 in District 13-1A and No. 2 in Region 4-1A, according to
“They continue to run their best times every race,” John Carroll coach Frank Irizarry said. “They’re improving, they work hard and they continue to get better. I wish it was more complicated than that, but it’s a very simple formula and they execute it very well.”
John Carroll is paced by junior C.J. Robertson, sophomore Scott Morgan and freshman Luke Baxley. All three posted personal bests in the Invitational — Robertson finished in 17 minutes, 58 seconds, Morgan ran a 18:47 and Baxley ran a 18:50.
“C.J. sets the example,” Irizarry said. “He’s the captain. They see C.J. and they want to follow his lead. Everyone wants to follow the captain and Scott and Luke are right behind him.”
