Dear Parents or Guardians of Seniors,

That special time in the life of every high school senior is fast approaching -- graduation! Leading up to that exciting night are many important dates and considerations. Please mark these occasions on your calendar so you will be ready for each event.

If you did not order graduation materials and would like to, please call the Herff Jones Company at 407-647-4373 to see if they have any “emergency” packets still available.

There are some special dates you will want to include on your calendars.
April 5 --Prom at the Black Box Theatre area of the Sunrise Theatre in downtown Fort
April 25 --Grad Bash on Friday at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure

May 5-16 – Advanced Placement exams will be administered to students in AP classes.

May 12-15 -- Senior exams are administered to seniors who do not have an 88 average for 3rd and 4th quarter in each class. Seniors will come on campus in full dress code only when they have a scheduled exam and will leave upon completion of the test(s).

May 18 --The Senior Awards dinner will be held on Sunday St. Anastasia’s Parish Hall.

May 21 -- Baccalaureate Mass takes place on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM at St. Lucie Catholic Church. Practice for the evening’s procedures will be held at 10:00 AM that morning at the church. Both the practice and the mass are MANDATORY for all seniors.

May 23 -- Then Graduation arrives at long last! This year we are privileged to be holding our commencement exercises once again at the Sunrise Theatre in downtown Ft. Pierce. This renovated historic landmark provides a beautiful setting for this exciting evening. Practice will be held at the theatre at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 23. The ceremony begins promptly at 7:00 PM that evening. Practice and the ceremony are both MANDATORY for all seniors.

May 23 – Project graduation will take place at SUPERPLAY USA in St. Lucie West from 11 PM until 4 AM. Details will follow in another mailing.

Each senior will receive 9 tickets for graduation due to limited space availability. In compliance with the fire code regulations, all persons attending the graduation must have a ticket, including children. Doors will be locked as the senior processional begins, so be sure to be on time. (Tickets will be distributed at practice for Baccalaureate.) All fees must be paid in full before your son or daughter may receive his or her cap/gown or diploma. Final transcripts will not be issued if there are outstanding balances of any kind.

Included in this mailing is your graduation fee statement. The fee of $125 dollars includes cap/tassel and gown, diploma, graduation photo, JCHS graduation medallion, and rental of the theatre.

FYI – Diplomas are here already. Caps and gowns are ordered (you do NOT need to order these separately) and should be distributed by May 7. Medallions have also arrived.
