Dear Parents and Students,

The John Carroll High School issued iPads are an educational tool and the property of John Carroll High School. These iPads allow each student another opportunity to build a strong foundation for life. It is our goal, as a school, to provide every opportunity for our students to be successful.

Part of that success is to remove as many distractions as possible that will take away from the students learning opportunities. Below is a list of blacklisted apps that are illegal to download onto the studentís iPad.

Failure to comply will result in a fine of $25 each time a student downloads an illegal app. The fine system begins today, Wednesday, August 20, 2014. If there are any questions please feel free to contact me.

The list of illegal apps are as follow:

Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Foursquare, Find, Google+, LinkedIn, Path, Myspace, Tumbler, Vine, Wanelo, ooVoo, Ask.fm, Yik, WhatsApp, Omegle, Yo., Whisper, 9GAG, Badoo, Burn, Chat, Amateur, Dropbox, FessApp, Forchan, Fessage, FireChat, Keek, Meet-Me, MyEx, OkCupid, PhotoSwap, POF, Tinder, Viber, Slingshot, Sring.Me, Streetchat, Tagged, Vine, Voxer, Password, Wisper, Pandora, Spotify, TMZ, Netflix, Hulu, HuluPlus, CandyCrush, Saga, Clash of Clans, Movie Tuber Pro, Movie Tube, MovieTube HD Full, Movie Tube Pro, MovieTime with Friends, KIK, and WeChat.
