JOHN CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE IT WILL BE OFFERING PUBLIC SPEAKING CLASSES
John Carroll High School is proud to announce that Linda Hamilton will be teaching Introduction to Speech Communication on campus. This course examines the nature and basic principles of speech, with emphasis on improving speaking and listening skills common to all forms of oral communication through a variety of experiences in public speaking.
Linda, who will be working at JCHS on a part-time basis, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nova Southeastern University. "I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my knowledge of the art of communication and to teach students lifelong skills that will enhance their personal, academic, and professional interactions," remarked Hamilton.
The Dual Enrollment certified teacher is passionate about creating a positive learning environment for students with diverse learning styles and needs and is excited to share her knowledge to help students become confident and poised communicators. Her extensive professional experience includes twenty-one years of working with children and adults diagnosed with communication disorders in a variety of settings. She also taught as an adjunct instructor at Indian River State College.
Linda has served as the part-time Speech Language Pathologist at St. Anastasia Catholic School for the past fifteen years and will continue providing speech therapy to students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Please join us in welcoming Linda Hamilton to our JCHS family!
