Penance Services: John Carroll Penance Services are held twice a year during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent. Priests from our local parishes attend these special services and offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation to students, faculty and staff.
Day Retreats: Students in each grade level are required to attend a Day Retreat for their grade level during the school year. Day Retreats take place during the school day and are not optional. These special days are designed to be a positive religious and social experience for all students in each class. Parents and families of seniors are asked to write letters to their sons and daughters prior to their retreat and will be collected by the Director of Campus Ministry for distribution on their special day.
Retreats: Weekend retreats are offered to students in grades 10-12. Participation is voluntary but highly encouraged. These spiritual encounters are a great opportunity to step away from the routines and stress of daily life and spend time with other John Carroll students who share a desire to strengthen their friendships and relationship with God.
