1. LOUIS V. GERSTNER, JR. DISTINGUISHED SCHOLARSHIP
    In order to apply for this scholarship, your incoming freshman student must have taken the December 1st, 2018 placement test. This scholarship is only available for incoming freshmen for the 2019-20 school year.
    This is a four-year renewable scholarship if qualifications are met each year. This scholarship is worth $11,000 each year and is given to three incoming ninth grade students. The criteria for the scholarship includes a student’s middle school records, recommendations from the student’s current principal, guidance counselor, and a teacher, completed FACTS application, GPA of 3.0, 25 hours of community service completed in eighth grade, extra-curricular participation, 500-word essay on his/her community service and future plans, and a completed application. Deadline: April 1, 2019

  1. JCHS ACADEMIC MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS: $1,000 each; renewable each year
    This scholarship opportunity is for incoming Catholic freshmen who excel academically. JCHS Academic Merit Scholarships will be awarded to one student at each of our feeder schools: St. Joseph Catholic School, St. Helen Catholic School and St. Anastasia Catholic School. It is renewable for each student’s four years of JCHS. The criteria for the scholarship will include a student’s Placement Test score, sixth and seventh grade report card, first semester eighth grade report card, and completed application. This is not a financial needs-based scholarship. Deadline: April 1, 2019.

  1. BECKY McIVER SCHOLARSHIP: $1,000
    This scholarship opportunity is for an incoming female freshman student who is attending John Carroll High School in the 2019- 20 school year. One $1,000 Becky McIver Scholarship will be given to a female student who is selected based on the criteria: Incoming female student who is accepted to JCHS, involved with athletic programs, and shows promise to live the mission of JCHS. In order to apply for this scholarship, one must turn in the application found on the school website and a one-page (500- word maximum) essay entitled “What this scholarship would mean to you?” Deadline: April 1, 2019

  1. JOHN CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL TUITION ASSISTANCE
    Due to the generous donations of our alumni, family, and friends of JCHS, we are able to assist qualifying students with tuition assistance. The application to apply for this assistance is through FACTS Aid and Grant. Deadline: April 1, 2019

  1. STEP UP FOR STUDENTS
    Renewal students can begin their renewal application on November 1, 2018 . You must complete your renewal application by December 15, 2018 and submit your award letter to John Carroll High School no later than February 1, 2019. New applicants to Step up For Students can start to apply on March 1, 2019. Please do not delay, as funding is limited.
    Step Up For Students (SUFS) through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship program is a scholarship funding organization in which students can obtain up to $7,111 in tuition assistance. Partial scholarships are also available. Renewing families should check the SUFS website mid-October, and new applicants should check February 2019 for applications on www.stepupforstudents.org.

    This is for St. Helen parishioners only.
    If some financial assistance would enable your child to attend JCHS for the 2019-20 school year, St. Helen Parish would like to help you through the St. Helen High School Tuition Assistance Ministry. Interested parents may retrieve an application at the St. Helen’s Church Office. Questions regarding the program and dates may be directed to Teresita Collins at 772-696-0079.
