Kairos Retreats

The Kairos Retreat is a decades-old program based on the spiritual exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola – founder of the Society of Jesus and patron saint of educators. It is hosted at Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center in Palm Beach Gardens, home of the Passionists – an order dedicated to prayer and meditation emphasizing the Passion of Christ as the ultimate expression of God’s infinite love for us. The retreat is a four-day, overnight commitment with accommodations including private bedrooms with a view of the intracostal waterway and three meals a day.

Attendance on the retreat is a graduation requirement for all seniors. As such, three dates are offered to best accommodate according to the rigorous schedules our students maintain. Dates for the 2026-27 school year can be found below. It is subsidized in large part by the school and generous benefactors who understand the primary mission of Catholic education as, first and foremost, the salvation of souls. Sign-ups for the retreat dates are made available to all juniors in April of the academic year. Students and parents are notified in advance of when the link to the sign-up will be activated with slots for each retreat date available on a first come, first served basis. Students who do not sign up are automatically slotted into the closest available retreat.

Retreat fees are subject to change per academic year, and are non-refundable should a student change their date past the set billing deadline.

The Kairos Retreat has been offered at our sister school, John Paul II Academy in Boca Raton, for over forty years, and is a testament to its effectiveness in supporting the spiritual growth of students in the Diocese of Palm Beach. It is our sincere hope that, through this retreat,  all students may discover the person of Christ in their lives – in how they love their neighbors and allow themselves to be loved by their community.
