Dustin Wood

Dustin Wood brings 13 years of experience in education and educational leadership, with a strong background in both classroom instruction and school administration. He earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University and his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University. He holds certifications in Educational Leadership (K–12), Elementary Education (K–6), and ESOL.

Mr. Wood has served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles throughout his career, including Assistant Principal at St. Lucie West Centennial High School and Sebastian River Middle School. His experience also includes positions as a Teacher on Special Assignment at St. Lucie West K–8 School, School Assessment Coordinator at West Gate K–8 School, and classroom teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels.

Beyond the classroom, Mr. Wood is deeply involved in athletics and currently serves as the Head Girls Volleyball Coach at JCHS. He brings an impressive background in volleyball, having spent 20 years coaching at the NCAA Division I level, including stints at Indiana State, East Stroudsburg University, George Mason University, and Georgia Southern University.

At the national level, Mr. Wood has held leadership roles with USA Volleyball. He served as Head Coach of the USA Boys Youth Select Continental Team, leading them to a Bronze Medal at the USA High Performance Championships, and was an Assistant Coach for the USA Men’s Junior National Team, which earned a Silver Medal at the NORCECA Championships.

Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Mr. Wood enjoys golfing, watching sports, especially rooting for Ohio State and Pittsburgh teams, and cheering on his daughters in volleyball. He and his wife, Shannon, are proud parents to three daughters: Etta (11) and twins Evie and Everly (8).
