Mrs. Shevak brings 30 wonderful years of experience in education to the JCHS community, along with an energetic personality and a deep love for teaching. She earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Mathematics and completed graduate work in Educational Leadership at Florida Atlantic University. She has also received specialized training from the College Board in teaching statistics.

Prior to joining JCHS, Mrs. Shevak taught math and leadership at Cardinal Newman High School, where she built a strong reputation for inspiring students and fostering both academic and personal growth.

At John Carroll High School, she is actively involved with the SADD Club and is known as a proud “resident school mom” who supports all student-athletes and school activities with enthusiasm and spirit.

Mrs. Shevak has been happily married for 26 years and is the proud mother of two sons, both graduates of St. Anastasia and JCHS. Bryce (Class of 2020), has earned a bachelors and MBA from Ave Maria University, and Austin (Class of 2023), who is studying Construction Management at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, tailgating, spending time with her dog Peter the Pirate, and, of course, doing math. She also loves thrift store shopping and going on cruises.

A fun fact about Mrs. Shevak is that she has taught more than a third of the JCHS faculty!

With her passion, humor, and years of experience, Mrs. Shevak brings joy and dedication to everything she does at JCHS.
