David Downs

David Downs brings six years of experience in education, along with a passion for language and critical thinking, to the JCHS community. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville, equipping him with a strong foundation in both communication and analytical reasoning.

At John Carroll High School, David is actively involved in campus ministry and student life. He supports students through Kairos retreats and serves as an advisor for the Debate Club and Pro-Life Club, encouraging thoughtful discussion, leadership, and personal growth among his students.

David is married and a proud father of two children. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys music, sports, motorsports, hiking, and camping, activities that reflect his love for both adventure and relaxation. A dedicated sports fan, he is especially enthusiastic about the New England Patriots.

Originally from Finksburg, Maryland, David brings energy, faith, and a commitment to student development to his role at JCHS.
