Maria Boylan
Maria Boylan brings 29 years of experience in education and a deep passion for student growth and creativity to the JCHS community. She holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education and is certified in School Guidance Counseling and as a Drama Specialist, reflecting her commitment to supporting students academically, emotionally, and artistically.
Throughout her career, Maria has served in a variety of Catholic school communities across North America, including St. Michael Catholic School in Gastonia, NC; Our Lady of the Rosary in Greenville, SC; St. John Paul II and Our Lady of Grace in Racine, WI; and St. Joseph Catholic School in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Her diverse experience has allowed her to connect with students from many backgrounds while fostering faith-based learning environments.
At John Carroll High School, Maria leads the Crochet Club, providing students with an outlet for creativity, relaxation, and community building.
Maria has been married to her husband, Bill, for 37 years, and they have three sons: David, Michael, and Spencer. Outside of school, she is active in the Magnificat Ministry for Catholic Women Region 5 Leadership Team and participates in the Well-Read Mom Book Club. She also enjoys scrapbooking, crocheting, traveling, and dancing.
A lifelong learner, Maria especially enjoys reading the latest research on neuroscience. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, she brings warmth, experience, and a strong sense of faith and community to her work at JCHS.
