Kirsten James brings 11 years of experience in education and a passion for student development to the JCHS community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a focus on Youth and Family Studies, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Kirsten is certified in K–12 Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and Educational Leadership, reflecting her commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering strong school environments.


Throughout her career, Kirsten has served in a variety of impactful roles, including ESE teacher, physical education teacher, dean, and counselor at Dan McCarty Middle School, as well as Assistant Principal at Manatee Academy. Her broad experience has shaped her student-centered approach and dedication to building a positive school culture.


At JCHS, she is actively involved in Student Life Initiatives and Student Government, where she works to empower students, strengthen leadership skills, and enhance the overall student experience.


Kirsten is married to her husband, Anthony, and together they have three children: Mia, Bella, and Connor. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially at the beach or out boating. A fun fact about Kirsten is that she was once selected from a crowd to lead a Disney parade. A proud native of Fort Pierce, she is excited to serve and give back to her local community.
