Tara McGowan

Tara McGowan brings 22 years of experience in education, with a passion for fostering student growth and creativity. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University and has spent her career dedicated to supporting students across a variety of educational settings.

Ms. McGowan has previously worked at St. Helen Catholic School, St. Anastasia Catholic School, and Imagine South Vero, gaining extensive experience in nurturing academic development and building strong school communities. At JCHS, she is actively involved as the Writing Club sponsor, encouraging students to develop their voices and explore their creativity through writing.

Ms. McGowan has deep roots in the local community. She was born and raised in Vero Beach and comes from a close-knit family as the oldest of four siblings, all of whom attended both St. Helen and JCHS.

Outside of school, Ms. McGowan enjoys spending time at the beach and attending live music events. She has been married to her husband, Brian McGowan, for 15 years. Family is at the center of our lives, and together my husband and I share the joy of raising three children.
